Ask for up and down feedback. Reach out to a few team members, colleagues, and leaders that you have worked with over the past couple of weeks and ask for feedback. Include people that report to you. Feedback is necessary for your continued growth and development and the sooner you get it the better. We are most open to feedback when it is timely and constructive, so make this a regular conversation with your managers and team.

I agree that feedback is very important for growth. The person asking also has to be ready for the constructive criticism. Genuine humility helps a lot.


Hi Aija, Feedback in goal setting is so important. So many people set goals and never tell anyone. Goal setting is a group effort. We all need accountability and at sometimes even motivation, when we can’t find our own. I love your note for today. It touches on some of the important points I mentioned in my own post, “How Do I Slay My Goals?” I share the 10 steps I used to go from just setting goals, to slaying them.
